Augment ("we", "our", "the app") is an AI-powered workout tracking application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo.
Workout data: Exercises performed, rep counts, weights, timestamps, and workout duration. This data is generated on-device by our machine learning models.
Health & fitness data: Workout types, rep counts, weights, sets, and session duration. This data is classified as health and fitness data under applicable data safety guidelines.
Profile information you provide: Age and body weight (optional, entered in Settings).
On-device: Workout data and user preferences are stored locally using AsyncStorage and SecureStore.
Cloud: Your profile and workout history are synced to Firebase/Firestore (Google Cloud) to enable cross-device access and data persistence.
On-device processing: All camera and pose-detection data is processed locally on your device using on-device machine learning models. No video, images, or camera data is ever transmitted to any server. The camera feed is used solely for real-time rep counting and is never recorded or stored.
We retain your data while your account is active. When you delete your account via the in-app option (Settings → Delete Account), your data is removed immediately. Account deletion requests made via email are processed within 30 days.
Augment is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email.
